3/4 c butter
1 c white sugar
2 eggs
1 t vanilla
2 1/2 flour
1 t baking powder
1 t salt
Cream butter and sugar in the mixer. Add vanilla and eggs and mix well. Sift baking powder, salt and flour in a separate bowl. Add to mixer and mix well.
Chill in the fridge until the dough is stiff. Roll out and cut out. Mom usually makes a triple batch when making Christmas cookies. I used the single recipe and it made one 15-in fruit pizza crust.
Bake at 350 until set and the edges are lightly golden.
Frosting:
powdered sugar
milk
almond flavoring
Mix milk in to powdered sugar gradually until it is frosting consistency. Add desired food color and frost away!
